WISI Micro Headend OM 10/11

With the versatile micro headends OM 10 (DVB-S/S2 -> DVB-C/T) and OM 11 (DVB-C/T/T2 -> DVB-C/T), WISI launches a new optimised headend solution in an ultra-compact design for operators of TV distribution systems in hotels, hospitals and residences. With these new solutions, WISI meets the market’s high expectations of functionality, flexibility and user-friendliness. As it comes with four CI slots, it is perfectly suited for the central decryption of pay TV services. It is possible to create a multiplex before the CI slots and in this way allow the user to combine services from different transponders, but to decrypt them by only one smartcard, thereby guaranteeing the efficient use of professional CAMs. Additionally, the micro headends support the deletion of unwanted services from a transponder, and enables the reduction of output channels by using the output multiplex functionality. The PID Remapping functionality allows even further comfort. This functionality enables the setting of a static service ID at the output. Hence, it is no longer necessary for the operator to make a TV scan to see whether there is any transponder modification at the input. As a transport stream, external video content such as an information channel or advertisement movie can be fed in via USB or via the LAN connection.
